Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched to the museum shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, where there was a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Upon arrival, police found Bethel resident Jacob Matthews, 26, in the front seat, allegedly under the influence of drugs or alcohol, with the vehicle running. He was advised by officers to take several Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he subsequently failed.
At Greenwich Police Headquarters, Matthews failed a breathalyzer test and he was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Once he was processed, Matthews was released on $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 22 to answer the charge.
